On May 11th, join us for a one and a half hour talk by John Mill aimed at increasing our understanding of weather events. John Mill was the author of the Coast Guard's comprehensive Auxiliary Speciality Course on weather. John earned a PhD in Atmospheric Physics in 1977 and went on to have a distinguished career with the Air Force. He retired in 1992 with the rank of Colonel. For the following six years he was a senior scientist at ERIM International, Inc and after that he was the proprietor of Space X Consulting in White Stone. This talk should appeal to everyone, sailors and non sailors alike. We are sure to learn a lot!
