.gif) Flying Scot Racing - Fleet #185
Fleet #185 was chartered at RRYC in 2002 with 13 members and 6 boats. By 2007 we had grown to 13 boats and were scheduling 8 race days each year plus an annual two-day regatta. Weather permitting, this gives our Fleet forty or more individual races each year.
The RRYC Flying Scot High Point Trophy is awarded annually to the Fleet members, either skipper and/or crew, who receive the highest number of points in local area races. The award recognizes Fleet members' consistent racing performance and encourages maximum participation. The first trophy, in 2002, was won by Jerry and Andrea Latell. The most recent, in 2009, by Frank Birdsall and Tom Richardson.
